Ghana youth international David Atanga is delighted with his scoring beginnings at German club Heidenheim.

The 19-year-old scored on his debut for the Voith-Arena side on Friday as the Bundesliga II side mauled a Western Select XI 14-0 in a rehearsal game.

Atanga registered his name on the score-sheet for the afternoon when his inch-perfect strike beat the opposing keeper.

And, the 2015 FIFA U20 World Cup Ghana midfielder feels thrilled with his performance on his maiden game for the club.

"First game with my new family. [I] thank God for giving me the power and ability to register my name on the score-sheet," he wrote on his personal Facebook wall.

Atanga joined Heidenheim from Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg. The Tipico Bundesliga title-holders signed Ghana attacker Samuel Tetteh from West African Football Academy to replace him.
