Ghanaian defender Godfred Asante delighted to win Guinean Super Cup with AC Horoya

Former Dreams FC defender Godfred Asante has expressed delight in winning another trophy with Guinean giants AC Horoya. 

Asante played a vital role as Horoya defeated Wakriya AC de Boke to win the 2018 Super Cup, which is a curtain raiser to the domestic season.

“I have a feeling of satisfaction to be today who offers a victory to my club but also a trophy which is the Super Cup. For a start, my goal is to help the club progress, to win trophies. That’s why choosing with a match, I always do it to confirm it with my place in the group and show the coach my talent,” he told the Club's website.

“It was not easy to cross the first 45 minutes. Since it is not secret for anyone what is one of the best clubs in the Guinean championship. They played well especially their middle which is very strong. In 2nd period it was still not easy to play but we did the basics. I intervened at the right moment ,” he explained.

Horoya are currently representing Guinea in the CAF Champions League, where they play Al Nasr of Libya.

Godfred Asante plays with compatriots Patrick Razak, Brefo Mensah, Mandela Ocansey and Sebe Baffour at Horoya.
