AmaZulu midfielder John Arwuah admits being relegated is the worst thing that can happen to a footballer after Usuthu suffered the drop last week.

The 29-year-old Ghanaian has enjoyed three full years in the Premiership after joining AmaZulu from Durban Stars in 2011, and he knows all the perks of being in the top flight.

However, now that the team will be battling it out in the National First Division next term, Arwuah knows the team will need a special kind of courage to face the new reality.

"To be honest with you, it hasn't been the best of seasons, no player or club wants to be relegated, it was the worst," Arwuah is quoted by Football411.

"I feel that as players we failed the club.

"I have nightmares each and every night. Every time I sleep knowing that a big club like AmaZulu has been relegated, it traumatises me. I just wish that it was a bad dream."
