Ghanaian defender Lalas Abubakar makes MLS bow for Columbus Crew in Minnesota United win

Ghanaian defender Lalas Abubakari made his first start and Major League Soccer debut for Columbus Crew in their 1-0 win at Minnesota United on Tuesday night.

The Ghanaian rookie started, played all 90 minutes and was an integral part in a shutout victory in Minneapolis.

The 22-year-old from Kumasi, Ghana, packed the defensive stat sheet as well against the Loons. Abubakar tallied six interceptions, headed three clearances, won four balls aerially and won two tackles in the clean sheet win.

Kekuta Manneh scored the only goal of match in the 58th minute as Crew beat United  in the first meeting between the teams.
