Kevin-Prince Boateng and Sulley Muntari scored both goals in AC Milan’s incredible 2-0 win over Barcelona on Wednesday night.

The two Ghanaians delivered the goods upfront to secure a vital two-goal cushion for the Rossoneri in the first leg match of the epic Champions League tie played at the San Siro.

Boateng was the quickest to react to a rebounded free kick to slot home the opener in the 51st minute.

The ex-Ghana international could count himself lucky for the drop which came off the hand of Christian Zapata.

The goal spurred Massimiliano Allegri’s men on as they battled their way through the first half to keep the marauding Spanish side at bay.

Milan now looked more confident on the ball and were beginning to build their way into good positions.

One of such well-worked moves saw Sulley Muntari volley in a teed up lob from Stephan El Shaaraway for the second in the 81st minute.

Milan kept their discipline and workrate to secure the vital first leg advantage which now sees them stand a real chance of kicking out the acclaimed best team in the world.

great game by Milan and great performance by Sulley and KP. After such a long lay off with injury this is all what Muntari needed to boost his confidence. Am wondering if Kwasi Appiah even watched the match. This is what real coaches do, set up his team according to a well worked up plan and win with it, not just to distribute players like goods anyhow on the pitch and pray for a penalty or a lucky goal

Did the foolish GFA mafia and useless Akwasi Appiah watch this game? Whe some of us say that Ghana has the players to even win the world cup, they think we are fools. Tactically bankrupt coach Akwasi Appiah, i hope you watched this game! 2 Ghanaians basically have "elimintaed" Barca! Do you see what quality brings? Mediocre can't win us the right players...manage their egos them in their right positions...and SEE GHANA WIN THE WORLD CUP! But will these idiots listen? ....we have all the materials to do so....but if we sdon't have anyone to put them together rightly...then its still useless! 32 years and countimg....with everything at our disposal...and still its talking talking talking....4x african champions...bragging about 30+ years records that are now obsolete...rejoicing over a quarter final placing in the world cup when we were not even the 1st to do so...or when its even considered a taboo in other countries! Wise up Ghana football administrators...and wise up coach! Because gradually, we the fans are losing our patience and support for this current "bullshit" black stars! Good management...and calling into the team on PURE MERIT will do all of us a lot of good! Posterity will judge us all! Beats me!

GFA please sack this incompetent Kwesi Appiah and bring in a better coach and i am very sure Black Stars will reach the grand finals of the 2014 World cup, everything shows clear that we have the players but the coach is the problem.

...anad what even annoys me is the fact that instead of watching such games like today's and knowing how to use our players...this mumu of a coach takes pride in going to watch kotoko versus nguema games...and guess what he says,.."am looking for talents to build a formidable squad" (check out gfa website and see whats he's still saying). What kind of folly is this? you have the world's best talents around u...just call them based on pure merit, manage their egos well, and play them in the right positions with your formation (which he doesn't even know)....then lets all see what happens! You are going about watching local games..doing what? and u say looking for talents. are u a toad or what kwasi appiah! just consolidate the blackstars using the talents we have had since 2008-2012...then add wakaso and dauda...and see the kinda of magic and wonders there will be. stop trying to fool everyone by saying u want to rebuild ---we dont need to REBUILD ANYTHING, punk ass! just watch the champions league and polish up your dead, useless tactics and stop the bankruptcy! u are killing ghana soccer akwasi appiah....and nyantakyi..ah ghana fa!

KPB does not want to play for us and Muntari was injured. Had he gone to the African cup he would be more injured now. Show some respect. Kwesi Appiah is the best coach we have had in 3 decades....

I do really think Kwesi Appiah is tactically bankrupt. He cannot think on his feet and make meaningful changes during games. as Ghanaman said, those players were unavailable to Ghana during the AFCON. But i however do i agree that Ghana has all the talents she needs to form a formidable team to qualify to the world cup and possibly win the cup. But our coach need some serious tactical discipline. He is playing like the way we play in our backyard in Ghana. All the best. I want to to go Brazil and watch the world cup and so i want Ghana to make it. He better not mess up my dream of going to the world cup to watch the world cup.

masa if you have nothing meaningful to contribute dont waste your time.Kwasi Appiah is what?????? He is no where close to the top 10 even in the local coaches we have today. The man needs to watch so he learns not because of only getting KP back but the guy needs more than 6 months of training to get anywhere close to good enough for even hearts of oak

Wooooow! We need Muntari and Prince at the heart of the Black Stars midifield. If they together can destroy Barcelona, what national team can stop us? Not even Spain!

Some people in Ghana are so relaxed, as long as they have money to feed their immediate family, they dont care for anyone else.. Ex: GFA.. please sack the coach and stop this non-sense..geeshhh
