Ghanaian forward David Opoku wants to become instant hit at Qatari side Muaither SC

Ghanaian striker David Opoku wants to hit the ground running after joining Qatari side Muaither SC.

Opoku, 25, has signed a two-year deal with the side worth $350,000 after leaving Lebanese Premier side El Egtmaey.

The Ghanaian impressed during his stay in the gulf where he scored eight goals before canceling his contract in February this year.

But he has vowed to lit up the Qatari League after completing formalities on Monday.

“Well, it is a new opportunity for me to showcase what I have and hopefully it will be a success here. I’m really looking forward to joining my teammates and getting to work,” he is quoted by footballmadeinghana

“Qatari footballis probably the most competitive and everything (facilities)here is the best for someone like me who loves and lives football.”

The Ghanaian is well educated as he holds a degree from the University of California.
