Hearts players will travel to Libya today for two friendlies

Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak will intensify their pre-season preparations when they depart to Libya today (Saturday) for two pre-season friendlies.

A 28-man delegation of the Phobians will travel to the Libyan capital of Tripoli to give their Japanese coach Kinechi Yatsuhashi another chance to observe his players this time in international match situation.

The troubled Accra-based have lined up two friendly against Ittihad Tripoli and Tehaa Sports - both teams in the Libyan top-flight.

The matches will be to be played on Monday and Wednesday respectively.

“We are going there with a 28-man delegation and that includes players, technical team and key management members.” Hearts of Oak spokesman Opare Addo said.

“All documentations are ready and the Libyan club have sent us correspondence for ticketing and other travel arrangements to be facilitated.”

Head coach of the side Kinechi has been busy trimming his side into shape ahead of the 2015/2016 season with the two games expected to give him the sternest of tests.
