Ghanaian midfielder Albert Bruce inspires Valletta to second spot in Maltese top-flight

In-form Ghanaian midfielder Albert Bruce was a second half substitute for Valletta in their 3-1 win at Tarxien Rainbows in the Maltese top-flight over the weekend.

Bruce, 21, was kept on the bench after he picked up a knock during the side’s 3-1 win over Qormi United last week.

The former Asante Kotoko midfielder was introduced in the second half to help the side coast to the 3-1 win at the Ta'Qali National Stadium.

The Ghanaian midfielder has become a vital piece for the side since joining as a free agent.

It was a well deserved win for the Citizens who dominated the second half after Tarxien had briefly threatened to make a comeback in the latter stages of the first half.

Valletta have moved up to second on the table with 15 points, two behind leaders Balzan after seven games.
