In-form Ghanaian midfielder Alhassan Wakaso could be playing in the Spanish La Liga next season with RCD Espanyol according reports in the Spanish media.

The Ghanaian has played 20 times in the Portuguese league this season and is one of the best holding midfielders.

Blessed with an incredible energy and superb passing technique Wakaso has been a revelation since joining Rio Ave from Portimonense in 2013.

His consistent performance earned him a contract extension with Rio Ave this season, but reports in some section of the Spanish media claim the Ghanaian is a target for Espanyol this summer.

The 24-year-old Ghanaian midfielder who is the younger brother of Ghana international Mubarak Wakaso recently saw a reported move to Sporting Braga fall through.
