AmaZulu midfielder Mohammed Awal-Issah is expected to return to the country from Ghana within the next week to face a disciplinary hearing that will determine whether he still has a future at the club.
Awal-Issah went AWOL in November after starting just two games for Usuthu since his return last July.
According to his agent, Mike Makaab of ProSport International, the 27-year-old will hopefully return within the next couple of days.
ââ¬ÅUnfortunately with Issah he did the wrong thing by returning to Ghana to attend to personal issues without permission from the club,â⬠Makaab tells KickOff.com.
ââ¬ÅHe is still in Ghana for now, but will hopefully will be coming back within the next week. Once he is back there will be a DC hearing.ââ¬
Makaab adds: ââ¬ÅHe violated his contract so that will be discussed. For now there isnââ¬â¢t much that we can do until he is back, but I am really surprised that he did what he did considering that he is such a sensitive boy.ââ¬
Usuthu appear to have already decided to plan ahead without Awal-Issah after signing Nhlanhla Shabalala andJohn Arwuah â⬓ two midfielders who also play in central midfield like the Ghana midfielder.
