Ghanaian striker Abdul Basit Adams was awarded as joint top scorer by Absa Premierships side Free State Stars at their Awards ceremony on Wednesday night.
The 19-year-old scored a total of 11 goals (9 in league and 2 Cup goals) on his debut season.
Basit came off the bench to score two goals on the final day of competition to help them survive relegation.
The former New Edubiase United player could be key for Ghana’s U20 team preparing to qualify for the 2015 African Youth Championship.
Basit could also line up for the Black Stars when the qualifiers to the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations finals begin in September.
