English-born Ghanaian striker Callum Hudson-Odoi has expressed his disgust after tasting defeat on his debut for Chelsea as they were hammered by AFC Bournemouth in the English Premier League on Wednesday.

The defending league champions were stunned 3-0 to AFC Bournemouth at the Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night courtesy goals from Callum Wilson, Junior Stanislas and Nathan Ake.

And as the Blues looked to be suffering their fifth defeat of the season, manager Antonio Conte introduced Ghanaian youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi to replace Davide Zappacosta in the 65th minute to help them get something out of the game.

But the 17-year-old's did little to improve the side's fortune as they went on to lose 3-0.

In the wake of the match, Odoi took to twitter to intimate his disappointment but pointed out how happy he is to have made his bow for the team.

#Not the result we wanted. On a personal note happy to make my debut hopefully the first of many.

Hudson-Odoi joined Chelsea in 2007 and made his under-18 debut in August 2016. He went onto net eight times in twenty-five appearances in his debut campaign, assisting the under-18's to their eight FA Youth Cup triumph.

He is eligible for Ghana despite representing England at both Under-16 and most noticeably Under-17 level, where he played an influential role during their 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup campaign, netting once in seven appearances and featuring for the entire 90 minutes during their 5–2 final victory over Spain.
