United States coach Jurgen Klinsmann wants his staff to start learning Portuguese in order to know some basic words for their participation in the 2014 World Cup.
Klinsmann is giving American players an early chance to get to know Brazil ahead of the World Cup in June to give them an advantage over their group opponents.
They are currently in Brazil training at the Sao Paolo stadium.
The German coach says he wants his staff to learn basic Portuguese by the time the team returns in June to make their stay there easy.
So some of the staff have started learning basic Portuguese to help them.
The Americans will stay in Brazil untilà Jan. 25à before heading home for an exhibition against South Korea onà Feb. 1à at Carson, Calif., where it began its 11th annual January training camp last week.
