King Faisal owner Alhaji Karim Gruzah is backing local man Herbert Addo for the Ghana coaching job.

Aduana Stars boss is among five coaches who have been shortlisted for the job left vacant by  Serbian Milovan Rajevac.

Gruzah who has a preference for expatriate coaches believes Addo has the credentials for the most attractive job on the continent.

''I think the job should be given to Herbert Addo. I’ve seen what he’s done with teams that he’s coached over the years in Ghana and I know he has what it takes to handle the team," Grunzah said.

''He is is very tough guy who can handle our players and I’ve no doubt in my mind that he is a winning coach who can shock many Ghanaians and the rest of the world if given the mandate."

Addo lead Aduana Stars to win Ghana Premier League last season in their debut season.

He faces stiff opposition from France legend Marcel Desailly, Serbian Goran Stevanovic, former Portugual coach Humberto Coelho and Can Vanli.
