Hearts coach plays down Ifeanyi Ubah friendly win; insists Al Ahly Tripoli second game loss is their best game

Head coach of Hearts of Oak Kenichi Yatshuhashi has insisted their best game in their ongoing pre-season preparations was their second game loss to Al Ahly Tripoli last year in Libya.

The Phobians on their pre-season tour in Libya engaged the Tripoli-based club in two separate friendlies losing the first game 3-0 and the second game 2-0.

The under-fire trainer who has endured a dreadful pre-season won his second trial game by convincingly beating Nigerian side Ifeanyi Ubah 2-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium last Sunday.

However, Yatshuhashi despite the club’s wonderful display against the Nigerian side has insisted that their best pre-season game so far has been their 2-0 loss in Libya.

“Our best game we have played so far was our second game in Libya which nobody in Ghana saw that game because it wasn’t televised. And also our first game in G6 which wasn’t televised because the light went off,” said Kenichi Yatsuhashi.

“It is good we have won against the Nigerians but it isn’t our best game so far. We have played better games but the best is yet to come,” he added.
