Hearts defender Agyare expresses remorse over booking

Defender Kofi Agyare has apologized to Hearts of Oak fans for picking a third yellow card against Medeama which now makes him ineligible to face Tema Youth on Sunday.

Agyare who signed for the Accra-based club from Berekum Arsenals has formed a solid partnership either with Godwin Osei-Bonsu or Philip Boampong culminating into Hearts’ impressive defensive record so far this season.

And now that he will not be available for the tough away trip to Tema Youth, Agyare knows too well it makes the Phobians’ job even more difficult but is confident whoever replaces will do a good job.

“I first want to say sorry to the fans for my yellow card which suspends me for the game against Tema Youth,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“Our next match against Tema Youth is going to be very tough for obvious reasons and I’d wished to play this game.

“However I am very confident my teammates will go there and get the maximum points even without my contribution because we are a determined side who want to win the Premier League title.”
