Hearts of Oak missed the opportunity to go top of the Ghana Premier League after a shock 1-0 home defeat to rivals Asante Kotoko on Monday.

The Phobians would have toppled Wa All Stars who lost 1-0 at Medeama on Sunday and opened a one-point lead.

Goalkeeper Abdoulaye Soulama scored a spectacular own on 43 minutes which sealed defeat for the second-place team.

Hearts of Oak still remain two points behind and will travel to Berekum Chelsea next Sunday.
