Board Chairman and majority shareholder of Accra Hearts of Oak, Togbe Afede XIV has taken a swipe at the teaming fans of the club insisting that they have created negatives impressions about the board.

The soft-spoken Board Chairman, who appeared angry addressing the issue at the Annual General Meeting of the shareholders of the club blamed the fans who go on radio to condemn his administration.

According to Togbe, most of the fans do not know the day-to-day managerial requirements of the club, hence concluding hastily about the club.

Addressing the gathering, Togbe said "We are painted negatively by our own supporters and that is very bad. Our fans should stand behind us and not be against us let alone paint negative pictures about us.”

“Fans who are supposed to support the club in difficult times are rather painting us black. So what will the outside world see? We need everyone’s contribution to take Hearts of Oak to the next level,’ he added.

Hearts of Oak held their 4th Annual General Meeting yesterday in Accra to see the way forward for the club.
