Head Coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Frank Nuttal has blamed their 2-1 loss to Tema Youth in the premier league on schoolboy errors.

Thomas Abbey equalized for Hearts after Joseph Painstil had given Tema Youth the lead after just 3 minutes, and Joseph Painstil completed his brace 15 minutes from time to hand Hearts their second defeat in three games.

Frank Nuttal praised the team’s preparation ahead of the match and expressed his disappointment at the mistakes which cost them the game.

“We prepared very well for the game, and the players were well recovered for the game. The team selection was good, the tactics were good, and a basic mistake made it a very difficult afternoon for us.

When those sorts of mistakes happen you really have an uphill challenge to turn things around.

But credit to the players, they stuck to the game plan and were highly motivated and focused and we got ourselves back into the game.

Then leading up to their second goal we made another mistake which cost us,” he said.

Hearts now lie in 9th place with just 9 points after 7 games, heading into their titanic clash with arch rivals and joint league leaders Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium this weekend.
