Accra Hearts of Oak board member Frank Nelson has dismissed the possibility of defeat in Hearts clash with rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Sunday.

The country’s two most successful clubs go head to head in match day eight of the premier league at the Accra Sports stadium in what will be the 104th meeting between the clubs.

Hearts have not beaten Kotoko in Accra for more than five seasons, but Frank Nelson has played down that statistic and believes his side is well psyched for the game and will end that trend on Sunday.

“I don’t think we have accepted the fact that we struggle to beat them in Accra. They have been lucky most of the time in Accra, and it’s equally happened in Kumasi.

This time around I just have to assure you that it’s not going to be possible. I'm not speaking because I'm going to be a player, but I know my boys are going to be psyched up on that day, and they will know they cannot go two games without a win.

Playing with Asante Kotoko is an opportunity to prove that they’re good players and to market themselves, because winning a game against Kotoko, especially after losing their previous game will motivate them,” he said.

Hearts who will head into Sunday’s game as underdogs, have had a difficult start to the season and currently lie in 9th place, while Sunday’s opponents Kotoko on the other hand are in fantastic form and sit joint top of the league.
