Hearts of Oak shot-stopper Benjamin Mensah is bothered by the club's efforts to bring in new goalkeeper new season.

Mensah, who joined the Phobians at the start of last season from second-tier side New Edubiase United, quickly endeared himself to the club's faithful with some great performances.

The one-time Africa champions are in the market for a new goalkeeper to compete with him after second choice stopper Samuel Akurugu expressed his desire to leave the club after his inability to churn out enough playing minutes.

But according to Mensah, he will not have any problem competing with anyone for the number spot next season.

“I’m not worried at all, I also came and met someone here so I will welcome anyone who will agree to join us.

Anyone who comes will be a big addition to the club, having two good goalkeepers around is good.” Mensah told Ash FM sports.

“My first season at the club has gone very well, I’m happy with my performance, I always want to reflect on the positives rather than negatives, though I believe I can still perform better than what I’m doing.”

Mensah was ever present for the Phobians as they finished 3rd on the league standings as well as finishing second in the MTN FA Cup.
