Tawrick Jibril's quest to part ways with Hearts of Oak might delay after the club refused to appear before the Player Status Committee of the Ghana Football Association.

Hearts say they will only appear before the Committee if Jones Abu Alhassan is removed as chairman, prompting fears it could lead to another long and controversial tussle involving the youngster and the club.

Hearts claim the Real Tamale United board member's role at the FA Committee level is compromised since he is professionally involved with some of the players that appear including want-away kid Tawrick Djibril.

The 2000 African champions insist they will only make themselves available to be heard if Alhassan-Abu no more heads the committee.

"We have made our points clear to the FA and the status and until our plea is given the necessary attention we will not appear before the floating status hearing committee to contest the issues of Tawrick Djibril," Hearts of Oak Administrative Manager Ashford Tetteh-Oku is quoted by the club's official mouthpiece Hearts News.

"Our stand is simple. If Abu Jones remains as the chairman we will never make an appearance there as they wish. We want fairness so we don’t see how the same individual who has links with the player will sit on issues concerning the player. That is not fair and we don’t want to be part of that," he added.

The young prodigy is seeking a move away from the club after claiming he was not treated well by the club's top hierarchy.
