Hearts of Oak coach David Duncan says his team needs strengthening in all departments.

The Phobians have won only three times after 11 games in the Ghanaian top flight.

Hearts’ stuttering start to the season has already seen coach CK Akunnor sacked for poor performance with Duncan appointed as his replacement.

The ex AshantiGold trainer’s appointment coincided with a mini surge in performance of the side but the team suffered two back-to-back defeats in their last two outings in the Premier League.

Hearts bought a lot of players during the off-season but Duncan says he needs to buy even more to augment all departments of his team as the secondary transfer window approaches.

“We need to strengthen all departments of the team,” he said.

“The club signed a lot of players before the start of the season but it was realized most of them are not of standard to play in the first team.

“They were thus taken to the reserve side. This means we need to get some more players for the first team and that is what we’ll be working on in the near future.”

Hearts currently lie 12th in the Premier League – just two points above the relegation zone.
