Forward Jaime Mata has been named the LaLiga 1|2|3 Player of the Month for September. It's the first time that the R. Valladolid CF striker has been awarded this accolade in his career, a recognition of his fantastic start to the season.
Mata scored four goals and provided two assists in September and has become a key figure in R. Valladolid's hopes to stay in the upper echelons of LaLiga 1l2l3.
This season, LaLiga has added a new dimension to the awarding of the Player of the Month accolade, bringing fans closer to the action of one of the most competitive leagues in the world. This will see Jaime Mata collect the award in front of the R. Valladolid faithful, before his side's match against CD Lugo.
