Veteran Ghanaian coach JE Sarpong has slammed the Ghana FA for their proclivity for expatriates coaches in the wake of the decision of local trainers to stay away from the vacant Black Stars job.

Over twenty foreign coaches applied for the job without a Ghanaian slapping in their CV’s for the hot job.

The apparent lack of interest is in protest of the ‘unfair’ treatment meted out to coach Kwesi Appiah who was dismissed under controversial circumstances two weeks ago.

The Ebusua Dwarfs trainer has launched a stinging potshot at the Ghana FA for their continuous disrespect for local coaches.

“There was no way any local coach was going to apply for that job. They (FA) will simply not give the job to a black man,” he said

“Kwesi Appiah enjoyed massive support from many Ghanaians but look at how he was treated in the end.

“I don’t see any local man being appointed. It’s just a smoke screen to have them apply but they will not get the job.

“The FA has never believed in a local coach. It’s all been lies. They have always believed in foreign coaches.”
