Former Ghana skipper Joe Hendricks says the Ghana Football Association must be bold enough to name a home based coach after Avram Grant left the post in February.

'I've learnt that they [Ghana FA] have setup a six-member committee to look for a new coach for the Black Stars team, but I don't see this decision to be the best for Ghanaians at all,'' Hendrick told Berekum-based Chris FM.

''Ghanaians are clamoring for a local coach and I think they should be allow to choose their next head coach of the Black Stars.

“The voice of the Ghanaian populace should be considered in this exercise,'' he emphasized.

''Again, the GFA shouldn't allow the said set committee to impose any coach on Ghanaians for the vacant coaching job as it'll be unfair to the people of the nation. The right thing which must be done is to pave way for Ghanaians to go for their own coach for the senior national team,'' he reiterated.
