King Faisal chief targets ‘realistic’top four finish

Posted On Monday, 24th September 2012

Vincent Sowah Odotei is confident King Faisal will finish in the top four

Vincent Sowah Odotei says King Faisal are ready to make a push for the top four and beyond in the upcoming season.

The Kumasi-based side returned to the top flight after just a year in the lower division following their demotion in 2011.

While usual suspect Kotoko, Hearts, Berekum Chelsea as well as Ashantigold are tipped to occupy the top four position at the close of the season, the King Faisal chief insists a top four finish remains their prime season target.

He told Kumasi-based Hello FM: “King Faisal will be in the top four this year. That I can promise you,”

“We are looking at the top and so every team should watch out for us this season. It is a new King Faisal with new mentality.

“We are ready for any challenge. This year will mark a turning point in the ambitions of the club.”

Faisal were beaten 2-0 by city rivals Asante Kotoko in a pre-season friendly on Sunday.
