Former Asante Kotoko striker Kofi Nti Boakye claims he rejected a poor offer from Ajax Cape Town and did not fail to impress during his trial.

The free agent spent two weeks with the Urban Warriors but head coach Roger Da Sa said he was not impressed with what he saw.

"I have not failed trails as reported on the Internet and other media sources, I just did not agree with the terms of Ajax," Boakye said.

"How can they say am not good when I scored five goals in a training match. The second day, I scored two goals, so how can they say am not good. I just did not like the deal."

Boakye’s career has been on a nosedive since leaving Asante Kotoko in 2013.

He went on to sign for Libyan outfit Ahli Tripoli but had to terminate his contract due to the political instability in the North African country.

Boakye later signed for Egyptian side Misr El Makasa where he was forced to cancel his contract too.
