Asante Kotoko interim coach Michael Osei has heaped praises on players despite failure to beat Aduana Stars at home on Wednesday in the Ghana Premier League.

The Porcupine Warriors were held to a scoreless stalemate by the 2010 league winners in an uncompromising fixture even though they dominated both halves.

"I think is very painful but that's football for you. I think my boys did very well because right from the beginning you can see we controlled the whole game," he said.

"It's very unfortunate we couldn't get all three points but I will still congratulate my guys. They fought very well.

"We need to focus on our next game and make sure it will be better."
