Ex-Kotoko coach Mas-Ud Dramani insists the club’s problems are scientific and has not got anything to do with spirituality.

The Porcupine Warriors risk losing out on their title defence after a poor run of form this season.

They lost on the bounce after their 3-0 home defeat against Berekum Chelsea last Sunday, which followed their 2-1 defeat at second-tier side Dunkwa United in an Elite Cup game last week.

While the team attempt to find the antidote to their dwindling fortunes, top officials have blamed their poor form on lack of spiritual backing.

But the club’s former coach Mas-Ud Dramani has dismissed such claims, insisting the problems are man-made.

“I don’t know anything about spirituality at the club. I was there for two years and there was nothing like that,” he told Kumasi-based Nhyira FM

“I didn’t see anything of that sort during my tenure at the club. Football is a global game. There problems are scientific. I don’t believe it has anything to do with spirit.

“Of course I do believe in God and everybody is entitled to believe in anything but there are more mechanical issues to look at than spiritual matters.

“The game is moving very fast. There are other basic things that you need to put in place that can help you instead of putting your mind on such matters.”
