Ghanaian champions Asante Kotoko will start pre-season in Tamale on Monday.

The Porcupine Warriors arrived in the Northern Regional capital on Sunday evening to begin the three-week intensive exercise.

Coach Mas-Ud Dramani will use the period to trim the rough edges of his team and fine tune his tactics ahead of the start of the new Ghana Premier League next month.

Kotoko’s involvement in the GHALCA top-four is hanging in the balance after they requested for change of time.

They feel their squad will not be ready when the mini tournament starts on August 24.

The club has confirmed they will unveil their new signings by the close of the week with only Obed Owusu, Richard Oti and Eric Ofori Antwi the only notable new faces.
