MP-elect for La Dadekotopon and acting managing director of Accra Hearts of Oak Vincent Sowah-Odotei has poured cold water of fears the incoming government will witch-hunt the Ghana Football Association insisting there will be peaceful coexistence.

The Ghana FA had a torrid time under the outgoing administration with many of the ministers of sports always fighting the federation.

But the acting Hearts MD who has been elected to the Parliament of Ghana says the incoming administration with work in tandem with the Ghana FA.

“We’ll talk with the in-coming minister to sit down with GFA for a peaceful collaboration so as to see the growth of the game, so that the tax payers’ monies should be accountable. It is very important to build a strong foundation and make all the necessary input,” Odotei told the media.

Odotei-Sowah who had a sour relationship with the top hierarchy of the Ghana FA when he contested the current president Kwesi Nyantakyi for the presidency says he would wantbto start afresh with the FA.

He added: “For me, I’m ever ready to start afresh my relationship with GFA, if I get the opportunity to work with them,” Odotei asserted.

The new administration will be sworn into office on January 7, and a new Sports Minister is expected to be named soon after the new President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is sworn into office.
