Laryea Kingston’s future hangs in the balance

CK Akunnor has refused to comment on the long term future of suspended midfielder Laryea Kingston.

The former Ghana captain has frozen out the 31-year-old from his plans after the two clashed during pre-season.

The influential midfielder is unlikely to return to the club until January after reports emerged management were divided on the thorny issue.

Asked about the potential return of the former Heart of Midlothian and Vitesse Arheim player, Akunnor said: “I don’t want to talk about that issue. We have a bigger picture to look at,”

“Let’s just wait and see. No one knows the future.”

Kingston returned to his boyhood club after he terminated his contract with Israeli side Hapoel Be’er Sheva.

The controversial midfielder has built up a bad boy image for himself over the past years.
