Las Palmas coach Quique Setien claims Kevin-Prince Boateng has improved physically.

The injury-prone midfielder joined the Spanish side as a free agent last week.

The former AC Milan man tasted his first action for the side in a low-key pre-season friendly on Sunday.

And Las Palmas coach Quique Setien was left impressed with his physical condition.

"He is still not well physically, but has assimilated perfectly at training in the last couple of days," he told the club's official website

"It was a risk he played today because he endured intense sessions.

"But his response has been good. Any good player plays the game.

"I talk to him about the feelings of the team and he was delighted with everything."

Boateng joined the Yellows to revive a career which has gone bad to worse in the last few years.
