Mark Lawrenson expressed his happiness regarding Adam Lallana's new contract at Liverpool.
Lallana has arguably been one of the best attacking players in the Premier League over the past few seasons and as reward for his fine performances, Liverpool handed the England international a sizeable £110,000-per-week deal for the next three years.
Liverpool fans would certainly be happy at the fact that Lallana has committed his future to Liverpool and now even club legend Lawrenson has gone on to echo a similar sentiment in an exclusive interview with talkSPORT 2.
He said: "This is the first season where we have really seen the best of him.
"He has showed flashes before and little periods of five or six games but generally this season - January apart - he has been very, very good. You might argue he is up there in the top three of English players playing in the Premier League.
"Sometimes you get players who just want to play, they want to be happy where they are playing, they want to know they are at a good club, and Adam Lallana is very much one of them."
