Lazio midfielder demands winning mentality

Lucas Biglia praised Lazio’s approach against Sparta Prague in the Europa League and wants his team to always have this winning mentality.

The midfielder added the Biancocelesti demonstrated they are a cohesive and compact team, but they aren’t able to show it in Serie A.

“The result is not bad, but we could have done better,” he told Sky Sport.

“We demonstrated once again that we are united and we play as a team, that’s what we are unable to do in the league.

“We have to do better than tonight at home.

“What we are missing to be a big club is to maintain the winning mentality in every game, without relaxing,” he claimed.

“I believe once we gather momentum we can do what we’ve shown in Europe in every game.

“We have to be used to playing three games a week, that’s what makes you a big team.

“We have to look at teams like Juventus and learn,” he concluded.
