Lesotho arrive late for World Cup qualifier against Ghana

Published on: 31 May 2012

Lesotho will arrive in Kumasi on Friday morning less than 12 hours before playing Ghana in a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

The Southern African country failed to secure the necessary travelling documents in time and issues of a bonus row affected their travelling plans.

The Crocodiles touched down in Accra on Thursday night from South Africa.

They will connect a 30-minute flight to Kumasi at 08: 000 before kick-off at 5:00pm local time.

Lesotho are likely to suffer from jet lag and would not have the benefit of training at the Baba Yara Stadium before the match.

Leslie Notsi's side were beaten 3-0 by Ghana in Sekondi in October 2008 during the 2010 World Cup qualifiers.
