Liverpool striker Divock Origi: Klopp very different to Rodgers

Published on: 13 February 2016

Liverpool striker Divock Origi is happy playing for manager Jurgen Klopp.

Bought by Brendan Rodgers, Origi made just two starts prior to the Northern Irishman's sacking in October.

Klopp has shown greater faith in him and the young frontman believes he has the German to thank for the improvements to his game.

When he came on against West Ham he found himself on the left of a front three featuring Sturridge and Christian Benteke.

“Klopp is a very different type of manager," Origi told the Liverpool Echo.

“You can see his drive, his experience, the power he brought to the club. He's such an important part of the club.

“I have learned so much from working with him already. Not only tactically but also in terms of the mental aspects of the game. I enjoy playing for him."
