Lyon No2 Baticle concedes €70M Liverpool target Lacazette will leave

Lyon assistant coach Gérald Baticle admits they expect Alexandre Lacazette to leave this summer.

The striker, having declared plans to leave at season's end, is being linked with a €70 million move to Liverpool in France.

Baticle stated: "He was asked the question and answered what he felt for the sake of transparency.

"After, the moment was inappropriate, since it came out after a derby. What's more after a defeat. So it took proportions not possible. Finally, a high level player announces that after so many years spent in his home club for which he stacks the goals, nobody fell from his chair.

"It's just the timing that has been problematic."
