Hearts striker Mahatma Otoo has set his sights on winning this season's Ghana Premier League top scorer title.

Otoo snubbed offers to move abroad in the summer and opted to hone his talent in the domestic league.

The 19-year-old is in form ahead of the start of the new campaign after scoring four goals in four matches to help Ghana win gold at the just ended All Africa Games in Maputo, Mozambique.

''I am going to bang in the goals because I cannot let the fans of Hearts of Oak down after performing well in the all Africa Game," the former Ghana Under-20 captain told Angel FM.

"I have raised the bar for myself and I must fight hard to become the goal king."

Otoo returned to Hearts for the second half of last season following the expiration of his loan deal at Tunisian side Esperance.

Last week, a Hearts new signing Prince Attakora-Gyimah also declared his intentions to vie for the goal king accolade.
