Ghana defender Jonathan Mensah has been awed by compatriot Abdul Majeed Waris’ impact in the French Ligue 1.

Waris joined struggling Valenciennes during the January transfer window and has been assertive

The on-loan Spartak Moscow striker has scored two goals in seven appearances

Mensah is amazed it took the former Swedish top-flight top scorer very little time to adjust to the change in clubs.

“I want to offer a special mention to my national team mate Abdul Majeed Waris who has been amongst the goals lately,” Mensah said.

“It’s great to see him adapt to the Ligue 1 so quickly at Valenciennes and I am sure this will benefit Ghana when he is called upon.”

Both Mensah and Waris are sure bets to make Ghana's final World Cup squad.

Lets stop this mediocre attitude of celebrating ordinary things and aim for greatness especially as we are actually capable of always doing better.

GSN please stop this. The guy is good no doubt but EXPLOSIVE FORM to describe him is surely too much. Come on, the guy scores 2 goals in 7 matches. Then what will you say if he scores 10 goals in 7 matches. At this rate, you will run out of adjectives if he actually does get EXPLOSIVE.
