Man Utd keeper De Gea tells Mendes: Call Real Madrid...

Published on: 25 February 2017

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea remains determined to move to Real Madrid.

Don Balon says De Gea still harbours hopes of returning to Madrid this summer, particularly with United facing another season out of the Champions League.

De Gea is concerned over claims that Real now favour Chelsea keeper Thibaut Courtois ahead of him as their priority target.

Indeed, so much so that De Gea has called his agent Jorge Mendes to make it clear he wants to move to Real.

The problem for De Gea, however, is Real's reluctance to meet his €70 million buyout clause.

In Courtois' case, Real are confident of doing business at just over half that figure.
