Published on: 27 July 2016

Manchester City full-back Gael Clichy has spoken about the rules that new manager, Pep Guardiola, has put put on the team. He has banned pizza's and any kind of heavy food because he doesn't want his players to be overweight.

Guardiola spoke about his team and what they have to do on the pitch and anyone overweight couldn't perform in the way that he wanted them to.

"They were not overweight but I want my players fit. For me, the weight is so, so important.

"We need to run, to fight, to jump -- to have the ball. After three days, then another three days, then another three days.

"When you are not fit and your weight is not proper, danger is coming. They are not fast enough -- that's why I want my players to be absolutely fit."
