Maritzburg United striker Yakubu Mohammed is at back at training after recovering from a bout of malaria.

The 23-year-old Ghanaian, who has scored once in 12 appearances this season, was diagnosed with the mosquito-borne infectious disease in January.

“He had a bout of malaria at the end of January early February and he had to recover from that,” United operations manager Quintin Jettoo tells KickOff.com.

“Now he must wait for his chance to get back in to the team.”

Mohammed last played in the Team of Choice's 3-1 loss to Bidvest Wits in December.
