Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata was delighted to deliver EFL Cup glory to fans yesterday.
The Spaniard started in the 3-2 win but was replaced by Michael Carrick after 45 minutes.
Writing in his blog, Mata said: "This trophy, as any other trophy that I have won through my career, has been for you.
"Thank you for being an example in everything, for everyone. I will always take you with me.
"Thank you from my heart for all your messages of support and affection."
