Hearts of Oak were held to a 0-0 stalemate by Inter Allies on Match Day 30 of the Ghana Premier League at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Looking to back to winning ways following last Sunday’s 1-0 loss to Medeama at Tarkwa, Hearts of Oak matched by a spirited Inter Allies side, which needed the maximum points to retain their league status.
The Phobians started the game in a high octane fashion as they threatened to open the scoring but were denied by the brilliance of visiting goalkeeper Saed Salifu.
The 19-year-old produced another sparkling double save in the second half of a tense battle and denied Samudeen Ibrahim as the hosts failed to find the net for the first time since playing 0-0 draw with Medeama in week 2.
While Hearts failed to pick the win, the result at least helped Inter Allies retained their league status as they maintained their three-point lead over Tema Youth who lost to Berekum Chelsea.
