Lead scorer in the First Capital Plus Premier League this season Nathanial Asamoah says he is delighted he is finally getting the recognition he deserves after his monstrous goal scoring return in the first half of the season.

The Medeama goal poacher has scored 12 goals in 15 games in the first half of the league this season.

His feat has earned him a place in the home based Black Stars team which will participate in the COSAFA cup later this month.

Asamoah says he is delighted just like any other player to be getting national recognition.

“Like every player it’s a delight to be called up by the national team,” Asamoah told GHANAsoccernet.com

“I will try to give my best to the national too and continue to develop as a footballer.

The local Black Stars are expected to depart for South Africa later today to join the COSAFA tournament at the knock out stages.
