Michael Essien featured as the International team beat Spain 1-0 in the Legends Star Cup challenge in China.

The Ghanaian who is on an ambassadorial duty for former club Chelsea has been involved in a couple of legendary games.

The former AC Milan midfielder was joined by several legends of the game in an International cup match in Shanghai. Essien reunited with former teammates William Gallas and Florent Malouda, who were in the same team that beat Spain.

Essien is currently on the books of Indonesian side Persib Bandung but has been largely inactive due to the foreign player quota in the Asian country.

The 35 year old featured for Chelsea legends when they lost 4-1 in a legends game against Inter Milan in London a fortnight ago.
