Middlesbrough coach Aitor Karanka will resist all enquiries about Ghana international Albert Adomah this summer unless the English Championship side receive a bank-busting offer.
The Ghanaian has also been linked with interest from Crystal Palace and West Brom, while it was strongly reported this week that relegated Hull City were considering making a bid.
There is also the strange link to another relegated club, Queen's Park Rangers, after Adomah was photographed wearing a QPR shirt early last seasonà - and there may be more clubs waiting in the wings.
But showing interest and putting hard cash on the table are two completely different things.
So Karanka will put the matter to the back of his mind unless a massive offer - which merits consideration - is received.
Certainly Karanka has no thoughts of trying to sell Adomah, who was an inspiration to his team-mates throughout last season's promotion push. So the London-born winger will certainly not be made available on the open market.
Karanka rates Adomah very highly, and had a great impact on the player's dramatic overall improvement last season.
Adomah was arguably becoming a little bit stale until Karanka took over the Boro helm and began working on developing the player's strengths.
As a result, there was not a better winger in the Championship last season. Adomah's storming runs down the right flank regularly pulled opposing teams all over the place, while his general defensive play was markedly better.
It's these talents which have alerted several Premier League clubs. There is doubt that Adomah could comfortably operate at the higher level.
But if any one of the watching clubs wants to harden up their interest then we are talking a lot of cash to make Karanka even consider selling.
