Middlesbrough legend Fabrizio Ravanelli is eyeing off the manager's job.

Ravanelli wants to replace Aitor Karanka as the club's new manager.

Ravanelli, who scored 17 goals in 35 appearances for Boro, told The Sun: “I'm so sorry Karanka was sacked.

“Last season he made an incredible work and probably this year he had some problems.

“But of course I would like to become the new manager. It's my main goal and my dream to come back.

“I am and I will be so happy and proud if I will be the new manager of Boro in the next season."
